Travel Information
From Torino Airport
- you may take the "SADEM bus service" directly from the airport to Torino Porta Nuova Railway Station (One-way fare: 6,50 €);
- you may take the connecting GTT train to the GTT Dora Railway Station;
- you may take a taxi from Torino airport for the whole trip to Torino city center (this option could be quite expensive: it may cost around 30/50 €. See the bottom of the section for details.).
NOTE: for those who opted for the SADEM bus service, please notice that you may purchase the bus tickets inside the airport at the yellow ticket vending machines or at the newspaper kiosk up to 8 PM. Afterwards or alternatively, it is possible to buy them directly on the bus with an extra charge of 1 euro, but in this case you should be able to provide the exact amount.
From Milano Malpensa or Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport
Coming by plane, it may happen that flying to Milano Malpensa (MXP) or Bergamo Orio al Serio (BGY) turns out to be cheaper than flying to Caselle Airport. In this case, you may take the "SADEM bus service" as well. In both cases you may get off at the "Torino stazione FS Porta Susa" stop (From Milano Malpensa, One-way fare: 22,00 €. From Bergamo Orio al Serio, One-way fare: 25,00 €).
From the Porta Susa railway station, the best way to reach Porta Nuova is to take the underground M1 at the "XVIII Dicembre" or the "Porta Susa" station, direction "Lingotto", and then get off at the "Porta Nuova" station.
Please notice that reservation on this service is required. You may purchase the tickets on the SADEM webpage. For more information, please follow the link "SADEM bus service"
From Torino Porta Nuova to Piazza Castello
The easiest way is to take the tram number 4 at the "Porta Nuova" stop, get off at the "Garibaldi" one and then walk along Via Garibaldi to Piazza Castello. Crossing Piazza Castello, right on the other side of the castle "Palazzo Madama", you can find the beginning of Via Po and Via Verdi (they are very close here).

NOTE: To call a radio taxi in Torino, dial (0039)0113399 or (0039)0115730. Instead you may browse the Radio Taxi webpage, but unfortunately the service is available only for the Italian version.Accommodation
We warmly recommend to reserve a room as soon as possible, since by the end of May (Sunday 29th of May, 2016, to be precise) there will be the "Giro D'Italia" passing through the city and this can lead to less availability.
We have made special deals with the following hotels (please, consider that this list could increase as we go along). Please contact the hotel directly, and tell them that you are participating to the meeting "Brauer groups, Hopf algebras and monoidal categories. A conference in honour of Stef Caenepeel on the occasion of his 60th birthday" organised by the Dipartimento di Matematica "G. Peano" of the Università di Torino.
